Kasey Kahne Racing is on the same road as JR Motorsports so we visited KKR while we were in the vicinity. For those that may be reading my blog and not know, Kasey Kahne Racing is not a NASCAR team. KKR is owned by NASCAR driver Kasey Kahne and builds/races USAC cars. In the photos of our KKR visit, you’ll see one of the cars in the shop.
So, you may be wondering why I titled this entry “Was that Kasey!?!?” Well, we walked in KKR and started looking around. The shop had one worker sweeping and there was a girl working down the hall in an office but, other than that, we didn’t see anyone else around. Shelby posed for a photo with “Kasey” and Lindsey started to as well. As Lindsey is, Shelby starts freaking out and practically hyperventilating. There are stairs just next to the viewing window that go up above into offices, I’m assuming, overlooking the shop. Evidently, a guy started heading up those that Shelby swears was Kasey. The rest of us only saw the guy from the knees down so we really have no idea but that was the highlight of Shelby’s trip, I think.
