My plan for today is that the posts on the half hour (0:30) times are going to be lists of my favorite movies, tv shows, books, food, etc. This gives you a perspective on me and also gives me lots of time to concentrate on 1 well thought out and, hopefully, entry an hour. (I’m relatively new to blogging so I sometimes need all the time I can get to write a new post.)
My Favorite Things: This is a list of 10 items I can’t seem to live without (in no particular order).
- Cell Phone - With no land line, my cell phone is my main form of communication.
- MacBook - I got my first Mac last year and have been loving it ever since.
- Vehicle - We don’t really have public transportation here in Northwest Arkansas so getting to and from work (which is 30 minutes from my apartment) requires carpooling or driving myself to work. I also love driving on trips and, because I have an SUV, I am typically the driver.
- Mountain Dew or Coca Cola - While this probably isn’t the healthiest habit, I drink 2-3 of these a day. I have one in the morning. (I don’t drink coffee so this seems like the likely caffeinated substitution.) I then have one with lunch and another one sometime in the afternoon/night. [In the next 24 hours, I'm thinking I'll be topping the 2-3 count to stay awake and alert.]
- Hair Gel & Hairspray - I have naturally curly hair. While it took me a long time to really accept that I will forever have curly hair, it also took me a while to come up with the combination of hair products that would tame it and make me at least somewhat happy about the way my hair looks on any given day.
- My Pillow - At first, I wrote simply “Pillow” but then I realized I should be more specific. I have a very hard time sleeping when not in my own bed. There is something about having my own pillow, though, that makes me sleep better. It just has the perfect firmness. [Random, related comment…I like firm pillows. I feel suffocated when I use a really fluffy pillow.
- Camera - I’ve always enjoyed taking photos when we go on vacations. During the past 2 years, I have taken that a bit further. While I’m still very much an amateur and learning how to take better photos, I carry my camera with me at all times because you never know when there might be something to take photos of.
- Music - Whether I’m listening to the radio, one of my CD’s, or something I’ve downloaded on i-Tunes, I love having music playing while I’m working or just hanging out at home.
- Debit Card - If I need to buy something, I need my debit card. I never seem to have any cash (mostly because my paycheck is automatically deposited for me so I only get cash from the ATM when I need it). I still have checks that I write occasionally but I don’t shop with them. They are just a hassle and a lot of restaurants and stores don’t even accept them anymore.
- Ceiling Fan - I use a ceiling fan year-round in my bedroom. I like to be a little bit on the chilly side when I sleep, and I also now require the noise it makes in order to sleep.

Good morning!
Oh I would LOVE a macbook. I edit videos, and would love to use it for that.
Keep up the good work!

I just wanted to comment on a grammatical error that I found while trying to read your blog. Check under the “My Pillow” section. Have a good day, Blogger!
