A Little Accident

On Tuesday, I took an off-site course on Microsft SharePoint.  We got out a little early so I decided I would pick Shelby & Lindsey up from their respective schools.  (Lindsey & her husband Grayson ride together most days but he can’t pick her up until after 5 when he gets off work.)  After Shelby & I pulled out of Har-Ber High School, a kid came rushing out of a parking lot right in front me to turn left.  Unfortunately, there was not enough time for him to get across the lane in front of me even with me slamming on my brakes (while driving 30 mph).  His car was a maroon color, as you can tell by the paint spread across my bumper.  From what I can tell, I mostly have the paint (that I’m told can be buffered off) and, if you look closely at the picture below you can see, some of his tail light embedded in my headlight.  His damage, on the other hand, was more severe.  I drive a Ford Explorer.  He drives a Toyota Corolla  My Explorer beat his Corolla in this little mini-war.  Luckily, the accident wasn’t my fault and I have no real damage.  I think he’ll be thinking twice before darting out in front of traffic again.
