Let’s Go Caroling

It seems like I start listening to Christmas music earlier and earlier each year.  I love Christmas music.  My most favorite Christmas songs are the carols you sing at church.  A few years ago, a Christian comedian named Mark Lowry wrote a song called Mary, Did You Know?.  It is definitely one of my favorites as well.  What is your favorite Christmas song?

Mary, Did You Know?

Words: Mark Lowry
Music: Buddy Greene

Mary, did you know
That your baby boy will one day walk on water?
Mary, did you know
That your baby boy will save our sons and daughters?
Did you know
That your baby boy has come to make you new?
This child that you’ve delivered
Will soon deliver you

Mary, did you know
That your baby boy will give sight to a blind man?
Mary, did you know
That your baby boy will calm a storm with His hand?
Did you know
That your baby boy has walked where angels trod?
And when you kiss your little baby
You’ve kissed the face of God

Mary, did you know?
The blind will see
The deaf will hear
And the dead will live again
The lame will leap
The dumb will speak
The praises of the Lamb

Mary, did you know
That your baby boy is Lord of all creation?
Mary, did you know
That your baby boy will one day rule the nations?
Did you know
That your baby boy is heaven’s perfect Lamb?
This sleeping child you’re holding
Is the Great I Am

Oh Mary did you know?

Yet another reason we’re friends, or rather, meant to be friends. I LOVE THAT SONG. I make sure it is the first song I put in my CD player during the Christmas season. (I have several different artist singing it, and although none are better than Mark Lowry’s Kenny Rogers w/ Wynonna does a pretty darn good job.)

I love that song too! That has to be my favorite too! I also like “Where are you Christmas” from the Grinch.

Yeah, that’s probably my favorite too. But a close second has to be O Holy Night.

[...] yeah, in case you forgot my favorite Christmas song… Share and [...]
