I spent several hours at my parents’ house today to break up some of the 24 hours. While there, I read a magazine they had sitting around. The cover story was about the Unversity of Arkansas’ live mascot - Tusk II. It talks about the farmer/farm that takes care of him and also describes Tusk’s football game week agenda.
“Here’s the thing about Tusk, Mr. King, Mr. Royalty, Mr. Special Treatment. When he eats watermelon, he won’t eat the rind. You have to hold it, and he eats the heart, the red, and he’s through. Then, you pick up another piece of watermelon, and he eats that.
“His brothers, you just throw it in and they scarf it down. Him, he’s special.”
I think this pig lives better than most of us.
